Even a Little Bird Can Fly

Artist Jennifer McGee Urbanek hails from Pittsburg and her owl series, namely “Even a Little Bird Can Fly” is adorable! I hadn’t been one to go for owls until a recent rustic retreat where I had two (2!) owl sightings. Majestic, still, watchful. I learned owls symbolize knowing and wisdom. Seeing them comforted me; it helped me trust myself just a little bit more.

 

I also love the folksiness of Jennifer’s piece “Swirly Trees and Posies Whimsical”. It reminds me of simpler days and is similar to my much cherished mentor Lydia Ruark‘s work (Happy Birthday, Lydia!).
