gettin' my ya-ya's out

preparing for a hurricane

Apparently, this is how I prepare for a hurricane:
*go swimming (in a pool)
*get some groceries (but no water or batteries)
*drink wine
*get up late
*make art
*go swimming
I might even go out for dinner tonight, if the restaurant isn’t closed.

It’s a whole lotta rain. A ton of wind. But we are safe in an old, sturdy house with 6″ walls, on a hill. We are all stocked and charged up. We’ve got movies, books, and kittens. Bring it, Lady Irene! (Maybe I’ll even bake some cookies…)
